Cross-Home Reporting for PRN Behavioural Medication

Problem / Current State:
At present, providers who manage multiple homes must generate and review PRN behavioural medication reports separately for each individual home. This is time-consuming, creates duplication of work, and makes it harder to identify trends across the provider’s entire group of homes. They current reports dont show the name of the resident or the drug that has been administered.

Proposed Feature:
Introduce an umbrella reporting functionality that allows providers with oversight of multiple homes to:

  1. Pull consolidated reports on PRN behavioural medication usage across all their homes, rather than running reports one at a time.

  2. Filter and drill down to view results at the provider level, by home, or by individual resident.

  3. Automate monthly reporting to streamline compliance, improve monitoring, and reduce administrative workload.

Benefits:

  • Efficiency: Saves providers significant time by eliminating repetitive report generation.

  • Clarity: Provides a complete picture of PRN usage across all homes, helping providers detect patterns or outliers.

  • Compliance & Safety: Enhances monitoring for regulatory reporting and supports better clinical oversight of PRN behavioural medications.

  • Scalability: As providers grow and add new homes, the umbrella reporting functionality will support them without adding complexity.

Suggested Implementation:

  • Add a permission level for “Multi-Home Provider” or “Umbrella Access” that enables cross-home reporting.

  • Within the reporting module, include a “Select All Homes” option or the ability to group homes under the provider’s profile.

  • Ensure data visibility respects privacy and access rules, so only authorized providers see reports across homes they manage.
